Exercise NOT UPLOAD it to YouTube… and go on an heart on the YouTube situation… perhaps things volition change someday… ?
Take fun with MikuMikuDance !
… only be thoughtful… be careful.
First step … Search YouTube for the video y'all want to work on. I searched YouTube for MMD "earth is mine" link
You are looking for a video that looks like the one you want … and that has links to the files you need:
Motion
Camera Movement
WAV (music)
At a minimum, you need those links … plus many times there will be a link to the stage that was used … and even to the detail MODEL (the dancer) that was used.
Later on clicking around on a few of them, I chose ane for this demo article: http://youtu.be/68kWqxOWvd4
This video by IA Vocaloid Channel had all of the links that you will need …
To get started … Download each file, ane-after-the-other, and allow them collect in your Downloads folder.
Sometimes the links for the download are hard to notice … even experienced MMDers might need to take a moment to identify the proper link.
Deviant Fine art pages are unremarkably gear up to allow you download a single picture image … and oftentimes the link in the right-hand column next to the motion-picture show is only there to let you download the picture. For the MEW model, the link is in the clarification area. I chose to download the ZIP.
For the stage download, the link is, indeed, there in the right-paw cavalcade.
The downloads on the MediaFire pages work just fine. In that location is a big red "Download" button. What you have to watch out for is the pop-up ad and the new browser windows that open-upwards in the groundwork. It's just a bunch of ads and I have had no "problem" with them … merely close all of that junk when yous encounter it.
Keep the Faith-MMD!
Proper MikuMikuDance etiquette calls for keeping track of your sources … exist able to include credits in your video's description to tell where yous got your models, accessories, music, motion files … and anything else you used in your animation. MMD artists work difficult to create these things and your applause is the just pay they go … make them proud! … Besides … it'southward nice if y'all tin leave a "Thanks!" annotate on the Deviant Art pages when you lot take a download of their souvenir. You volition see that I did exit such a note on the pages involved in this project.
Create a new folder on your desktop … I chosen mine World is Mine.
Open your Downloads binder and drop the new downloads into that new folder.
At present … Open that new binder and let's see what nosotros have!
The folder at present contains our downloads.
The WAV file is set up to use. Yous tin play information technology now if you like … just double click it.
The ZIP folders tin be opened using WinZip which is probably already installed on your computer; only double click these folders and "Extract All" … and click OK, OK (or Next) to corroborate the defaults.
You may need a new software to open the RAR folders. I employ 7-ZIP (a costless software) and you lot tin can come across that my computer has already identified those folders for me. (Get 7-Null from their dwelling house page: http://www.7-nix.org/ ) … so open these folders with 7-Cipher and "Extract All" … and click OK, OK to approve the defaults.
So … at present my World is Mine folder looks like this. I have moved all of the original Zero and RAR folders into a new folder I am calling Original Downloads.
I know that the new model of MEW is in her folder.
That "World is Mine by zephon145" folder contains the Camera Move file.
The WAV is ready to use.
The PDWorld is Mine stage contains the new stage.
And … it turns out that A BUNCH OF STUFF is inside that (Grouping) folder!
There are new models, new music, and a Motility folder containing motions for three models. … We will use the motion for the Middle model.
We are just most ready to start!
I opened my MMD Binder … opened the USER folder … and I drag-and-dropped the MEW binder into the MODEL binder. …
Everything else I kept inside of my World is Mine folder … and I dropped that whole binder into my USER folder.
(… I know that all kinds of stuff is still within of that Earth is Mine folder … but it will be safe, for now ":o).
Open MMD …
On the far correct side, in the Accessory Manipulation Panel (we call information technology the AMP), click LOAD and navigate your way to the World is Mine folder … open the Stage folder and double-click
Ad
on the stage.x file. … Yous will see the stage pop into identify. Click the REGISTER button in the AMP.
Go to the VIEW carte and choose to uncheck "display coordinate centrality(M)" to get rid of that filigree on the floor.
At present load a model of your choice. I chose to load that new MEW model.
At present we will load that model's motion data. Become to the FILE card and choose "load motility information(M)" … navigate your way to the World is Mine folder, open the GROUP binder, and find the Eye.vmd file inside the MOTIONS folder. …
When y'all open it, and you lot OK the warning, you will run across your dancer snap into the new pose.
Let's add the music!
Now we will load the WAV file. From the FILE menu, choose "load wav file(Due west)" … navigate your style to the Earth is Mine folder and select the WAV file.
Let'south test it!
Push PLAY and let's watch the action.
Fun stuff!
I can run across, right-off, that that stake footing shadow bugs me … why is it so light? Go to the VIEW menu and adjust the "ground shadow color(X)".
Now let's add that camera motion.
In the Model Manipulation Panel (the MMP), select the Photographic camera mode.
Go to the FILE carte du jour and select "load motion information(M)". Navigate your style to the World is Mine binder and select that zephon145 folder which contains the camera motion file. Open that file and sentry as the stage snaps into the new position.
Allow's test it!
Push PLAY and let's run into what we've got. … PLENTY of activeness! … Wears me out merely watching it!
We're washed!
The bones music video that we wanted to create from those saved files is finished.
SAVE … under the file menu, click to save our dance. I saved mine in the World is Mine binder.
There is plenty more that we can do with this project … try a different model … add some MME effects for color enhancement and focus … we could arrange the camerawork to make it our own. And we could play with the lighting and the physics settings … Just … for the purposes of this trivial projection, we are done. … Nigh …
How long is it?
Before we tin Render to AVI … make it into a video … we accept to know how many frames are to exist used. And so, how can nosotros tell how many frames to utilise? One fashion is to scan through all of that motility information in the frame counter and come across where the last entries are … another mode is to know that the video we are copying is two minutes and 50 seconds long … = 170 seconds … and at 30 frames per second = 5100 frames.
Under the VIEW menu, select "max fps restricted to thirty fps".
Now, on the far right of your MMD screen, under the PLAY button, are two windows. Nosotros want
to enter the range of frames that are to be used in our blitheness … in our video. If y'all ready a range of null to 5100, and push Play … your trip the light fantastic will terminate at frame 5100. When I did information technology, I institute information technology to be kind of an sharp cease … the animation needed to be longer. … So as not to have to watch the whole animation once again, only to check the ending, I entered a range of 5000 to 5100 … pushed play … and simply had to spotter the final 100 frames. I tried stting the range to 5200 … and there was a fleck of a intermission at the end of the dance … and so I set the range to 5150 … and am happy with it.
Create the video: Return to AVI
Set that length of the animation and then that information technology starts in frame Zero …
0 – 5150
(Note: If y'all start to render to AVI from anywhere other than frame zero, no sound will exist recorded.)
Be sure that your MMP is set to the Camera style (non the model'southward name).
Nether the FILE carte du jour, choose to "Render to AVI file(5)".
Proper noun your new video and signal where to relieve it. Past default it will save into your Users binder.
I set mine to save into my Globe is Mine binder.
There are many video compressor options … and … honestly, I take only ever tried a few of them … with the Cinepak Codec by Radius beingness the one I choose, all the time.
Go ahead and choose information technology at present … and scout your video be compiled, rendered frame by frame.
In that location you lot have it!
Navigate to the new .avi file and give it a double-click. "Hey … nice video!"
Normally I'd say
"Upload your finished video to YouTube!"
DO NOT UPLOAD THIS VIDEO to YouTube
Run into the alarm at the top of this article!
These instructions, below are general and will apply to ANY video you lot upload:
Our teammate, here, on LearnMMD, MMD-Nay-PMD has written a nice commodity to testify you lot how to upload your video to YouTube: https://learnmmd.com/http:/learnmmd.com/uploading-mikumikudance-youtube-videos/
ADVERTISEMENT
It takes a long time for our huge video files to upload to YouTube … giving you lot PLENTY of time to write a fun description of your video and, most of import: time to leave those credits for the files we've used.
Write a potent title for your video. Include MMD so that your video will be establish past MMDers. The championship for this ane might be MMD Mew sings"The Earth is Mine"
… or something like that.
For the description, I like to write the whole story of why I made the video … what I similar near information technology … what I might practice meliorate next time … that kind of matter. Information technology'due south fun to write about your new video while information technology'southward all still exciting … still fresh in your encephalon.
For the credits, some MMDers just say "I don't own anything and credits belong to the original creators." … but that'southward a chicken-south#@* fashion to practise it. If you lot have taken the time to assemble your projection, y'all tin certainly take the time to write down the credits … especially since you lot volition accept plenty of time to do so while the video uploads.
A bang-up mode to go on track of your sources is to write your own curt ReadMe file that y'all can proceed in the
folder with your downloaded file. Include the link to the source … and perhaps a quick write-up about the particular, itself.
For this projection, we could "get abroad hands" by merely referencing the original video from which we got our file links. We want to practice that, in any event … but nosotros could also reference the 2 Deviant Fine art pages that nosotros used … and that Camera Motion past zephon145.
As I wrote this article, I created the animation, step-by-pace … and so I have a video to upload to YouTube; all 256mb of it! … looks similar it's gonna take over five hours to upload!
See my finished video on YouTube (if they haven't taken information technology downwardly yet ":o) to meet how I handled the credits.
Have fun with MMD … make your own music videos!
